Fibers & Films

BBS works with a large selection of High Tech Fibers in the production of the many products we manufacture. High Tech Fibers are often viewed as those materials exceeding tensile strengths of 15 grams per denier or are materials in fiber form that have other significant properties such as resistance to abrasion or heat tolerance. The following chart illustrates performance properties of materials used in our processes.

Polymers

Choice of polymer is dictated by the desired properties of end product applications. BBS uses a significant number of Polymer materials in conjunction with reinforcing fibers to achieve the right cost vs. performance balance. Just as choice of materials is important, the method chosen to combine those materials is equally important. From thermo to thermosets and from Plasma rate to UV curing, the “right” method is employed.
